Finnish foodstuff is produced with proficiency and high-quality technology. Selections include highly valued brands, seasonal treats and trendy new flavours for both everyday and celebratory occasions. Food and drink industry is Finland’s biggest manufacturer of consumer goods and fourth biggest industry. It employs 38,000 people in 1,700 businesses.
A commitment made by the Finnish food industry, trade and packaging sector as well as three ministeries will reduce the environmental impacts of food production, distribution and consumption in 2019 - 2021.

The Finnish Food and Drink Industries' Federation awarded finnish Fazer’s xylitol factory as Star Act 2020 (Tähtiteko) on 27 November. The purpose of the competition is to increase awareness of the Finnish food and beverage industry and to bring to the fore the diverse expertise in the field and its pioneering ideas.
The strategy is crystallised to the following vision: "Innovative and responsible Nordic food production enables a competitive food industry and consumer well-being, both in Finland and globally".

Finnish Food and Drink Industries' Federation has approximately 260 member companies and cooperation agreement with the Finnish Bakery Federation and the Finnish Meat trade Association. The activities of companies within the spheres of the ETL cover the majority of food and drink industry production in Finland.
